All three smartphones of the Note 12 series feature a similar design language. There’s a flat display upfront with minimal bezels all around! A centered hole punch camera on the front! The power button and volume rockers are on the right! Speaker grille on top & bottom. Blaster & 3.5mm audio jack on top. With the USB Type-C at the bottom. As for the back, all three Redmi Note 12 series smartphones feature a rectangular camera module that houses triple rear cameras with LED Flash. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 gen 1 chipset coupled with 4/6GB RAM & 128GB UFS 2.2 storage which is expandable up to 1TB using a MicroSD card. The Redmi Note 12 comes in three color options – Matte Black, Mystique Blue and Frosted Green. Runs on Miui 13 based on Android 12. As for the cameras, there’s a triple rear camera which includes a 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, there’s a 13MP selfie camera. The Redmi Note 12 has a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging & is IP53 rated. There’s also a side fingerprint sensor. Well, the Note 12 Pro & the Note 12 Pro+ share almost identical specifications, but there are some key differences in terms of camera & charging, etc. Both Redmi Note 12 Pro & Note 12 Pro+ features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120hz refresh rate and FullHD+ resolution. The display is A 10-bit, HRDR10+ & supports DolbyVision & Dolby Atmos. Under the hood, Both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor with Mali G-68 MC4 GPU. Redmi Notte 12 Pro comes with LPDDR4X 6/8GB RAM & 128/256GB UFS 2.2 storage, while the Note 12 Pro+ comes with 8/12GB RAM & 256GB storage. Both phones run on MIUI 13, based on Android 12. Note 12 Pro 5G comes in three color options – Stardust Purple, Frosted Blue, and Onyx Black, and the Note 12 Pro+ 5G comes in Iceberg Blue, Arctic White, and Obsidian Black. As for the Optics – Both the Redmi smartphones feature a triple rear camera setup. However, the Redmi Note 12 Pro has a 50MP Sony IMX 766 sensor with f./1.88 aperture and OIS, whereas the Note 12 Pro+ has a 200MP Samsung HMX sensor with f/1.65 aperture, 7P lens, and OIS. There’s a 16MP front camera with f/2.45 aperture for selfies & video calls. The other sensors on both devices are the same, i.e., an 8MP ultra-wide sensor and a 2MP macro lens.
